Cindy is an experienced and collaborative leader with nearly three decades of dedicated service in the field of education.  Cindy graduated from Hope College in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, focusing on Mathematics and Biology. For almost thirty years, Cindy served as a classroom teacher and substitute teacher at both the middle and elementary school levels.

Outside the professional sphere, Cindy is an avid runner and swimmer who thrives on setting and achieving personal goals and exploring new trails. You may find her in Lake Michigan swimming toward Saugatuck or running ten miles toward Grand Haven. If you’re extremely lucky, you might have the ultimate privilege of tasting her out-of-this-world custom baked and decorated cakes. You haven’t enjoyed all that life has to offer unless you have eaten a slice of her delectable delight.  When she isn’t preoccupied with her active lifestyle, as an enthusiastic reader with a wide-ranging literary taste, she carves out quiet moments to unwind with a variety of genres. Cindy also cherishes daily walks with her dog and quality time spent with loved ones, reflecting her deep commitment to balance, well-being, and lifelong learning.
